The New Jersey Peach Promotion Council Elects Three New Directors

Glassboro, NJ (March 15, 2019) - The New Jersey Peach Promotion Council welcomes three new board members, Erica Shiles, Bonnie Lundblad and Matt Duffield.


Glassboro, NJ (Oct 11, 2018) - North Jersey’s ‘Perfect Peach Pie’ grand-prize winner is Sosy Shishmanian, of Allendale, who was the winning finalist at the Ramsey Farmers Market. She competed with three other finalists from other north Jersey farmers markets for the grand prize of $300 cash from the New Jersey Peach Promotion Council.

The final judging and dinner were held at Boulevard Five72, with Chef Geoff Mockbeer judging, highlighting Sosy’s pie’s “small- lattice top crust and just-right texture of peaches.” Her recipe follows.

Amateur Bakers Take Prizes in Final "Jersey Peach Pie” Competitions

Glassboro, NJ (Oct 3, 2018) - Winding up a late-but-great Jersey peach season, were the final peach pie contests for amateur bakers in south and north Jersey. Each champion baker received a grand prize of $300 cash from the New Jersey Peach Promotion Council.

The season that began late and is running late will continue to have available peaches, through mid/late September, according to growers and packers.

Peach Each Pie Recipes for Summer Delights

Glassboro, NJ (Aug 28, 2018) - New Jersey peach pies perfume the air and tantalize the senses at farmers markets during July and August, when amateur bakers all over New Jersey present their delicacies for judging. Winning pies at each market go on to be judged for two ultimate first prizes (one in north; one in south Jersey) of $300 each. Jersey ‘Perfect Peach Pie’ Winner Margate Competition

Glassboro, NJ (July 31, 2018) - Sage and Hallee Adelman took first place in Margate Farmers Market “Perfect Peach Pie” competition, sponsored by the New Jersey Peach Promotion Council.

“They beat out 11 other contestants, with some very good entries,” said Jane Martin, manager of the market.

Pick-Your Own Peaches At New Jersey Farms

Glassboro, NJ (July 9, 2018) – What kid doesn’t like a chance to run through a country farm? Even better when blushing peaches hang low on the trees, ripe for picking. Peach orchards throughout New Jersey invite visitors to come and pick their own peaches; some charge a small admission fee to the orchards, others charge for what is picked. Some have created special events, taking visitors out to the orchards in tractor-pulled wagons.
